Me @ my tribe through the first 6 days of the game:
So yeah, we're still doing the tribe unity thing. And don't get me wrong, I don't dislike anybody on this tribe but what I do dislike is the lack of strategy based talk going on, at least in my realm. I'm just really not used to going a full 6 days into the game without having a single official 1-on-1, but I don't even know how to broach the subject with all this happiness and Nawa Strong. I don't know if it has something to do with the two newbies, or what, but I would really fucking love to at least be able to know I can lean on and trust 3 of these people should we lose the challenge tonight.
Today, finally, Tyler and I messaged each other and said that we would like to work together (basically, there was a lot of talking around the subject but he brought it up to me so I'll take what I can get). And, even though I like this, it's not entirely ideal because I don't think I would work that well with Tyler because his personality is more laid back and he wants to be "Nawa Strong" which is the antithesis of how I like to play. Fake it till I make it I guess.
Anyway, here's my CF I recorded until my phone storage rudely ran out:
Here's my strategy layout for how to play this tribal twist when I'm in the tribe that has to go to tribal:
Basically my interpretation is that logic states you need to be in a four person alliance at least with six people so that if "Target A" (in this case, Amanda) gets saved by the other tribe/s, you have a backup in "Target B" for your 4 person group to swap votes to. Now, the idol situation fucks with that cause "Target B" (displayed as the red planet that the spaceship visits) is going to want to know who Target B is if A gets saved, and if they don't know the backup target well then, they're probably gonna play their idol, which leaves your entire four person alliance at risk. So my thought is that we make a tight three person alliance and we rope in a "Moon" who thinks their in our four person alliance but we're fine with losing. While at the same time making the real "Target B" think that Target B is the "Moon" so that if an idol gets played, the Three Big Planets avoid getting fucked and we lose the moon. Plus, more ideally, it makes "Target B" feel as though they are safe, so they don't play an idol. Target A also gets the name of Target B as "Target A" and the Moon as "Target B" in case their vote matters because they become safe or "Target B" becomes safe. It's a lot, but it makes sense at least for this round.
Sunshine and myself think we're gonna swap after this next tribal which throughs a loop into plans which is why I'm starting to build these strategy talks where I'm saying stuff like this:
2:13 PM (to Tyler): I feel like we would work well together, whether we need to here on nawa or in the future
I like being able to set groundwork with people that I'm open to playing with them at multiple stages throughout the game even if we aren't always together. Does this get me into trouble a lot come the merge? Yes. But is it effective? Yes.
Hopefully I'll have strategy updates later without tribal council looming but we shall see.
Finally, messages like this only send red flags up to why it would be advantageous for people to get rid of me.
So I'm nervous about the potential for other good players to realize that and try and clock me before the merge. SMH, paranoia starting early, gotta love it.
